It's the @oneroomchallenge reveal week, and you know what? We didn't finish our pool house, but we are CRUSHING on this quick bathroom update we did instead.⠀ ⠀ Before, this bathroom was sad and remained untouched since we moved in. It was still painted gray, like the rest of the house, and although we had made minor changes (like swapped out the mirror for something old, changed out the sconces for something that was more...us) but that was it.⠀ ⠀ In fact, it became just a forgotten space, that had a hodge podge of items. ⠀ ⠀ Well, since we've been quaratined, and spent lots of time staring at the rooms in our house, we decided to take action. And it was inspired by our friend Alison @sheffield_interiors . She had a brilliant idea to stencil a pattern on her entry way walls. And watching her do this, reminded us of a floor project we did that had MAJOR impact on a space of ours...for an incredibly low price. BIG style on a budget.⠀ ⠀ Well...we decided to take all of that: inspiration, advice, and gumption to do a little #diy ourselves...and this is the result. A bathroom that we LOVE!⠀ ⠀ Seriously...we are so happy with how it turned out, and as we chatted about the other evening in our design chats (did you know we talk design and answer your questions T, W, TH evenings?), we bought ourselves some time by doing this project. And we love it. ⠀ ⠀ Now, where's the lesson? Basically, take action. If you aren't happy with a space in your home, consider painting it. Consider adding some pattern, put a little DIY love into it. You may surprise yourself and love it WAY more than you did before you did anything to it. And #thatsimpeccable. Staying at home has really forced us to look, and find ways to change what we don't like about our homes...and you know what? We love how we've changed this bathroom.
